Emergency services were called to the large brilliance at CMI Springs in Mount Wellington approx 8.55pm, said Fire Service northern communications incantation manager Jaron Phillips.
The front of the building was well ablaze by the time firefighters arrived, with the passion region around 50 rhythm by 70 metres.
About 15 fire motor and roughly 60 firefighters were at the scene, Mr Phillips said
